Thursday Announce Expanded ‘Waiting’ Reissue

Thursday will be releasing an expanded reissue of their debut album, Waiting, this coming March through frontman Geoff Rickly’s Collect Records. The 15-year anniversary edition will feature three previously unreleased bonus tracks, and will be re-packaged with new artwork, a deluxe die-cut CD and LP sleeve, and liner notes penned by Rickly himself. Pre-orders are on sale now.

Back in December, Rickly sat down with Noisey to discuss how the “community around underground music” helped to shape the outfit’s first full-length.

“I wanted to put something social together that had its roots in hardcore, but was more tied to the culture and aesthetic of DIY hardcore than it was the sound of it,” Rickly said. “It was very community based, and even though we didn’t know how to do what we were trying to do, we were just going for it.”

To celebrate said release, Thursday have also shared a new lyric video for Waiting’s closing track, “Where The Circle Ends.” Check it out below.
