Today is the first time I’ve ever listened to New Paltz’s Diet Cig, and frankly it kind of bums me out.
The duo’s newest release, Over Easy, is cute and catchy as hell. It’s lovable garage pop, like Sleater-Kinney meets Au Revoir Simone; very Saturday Looks Good To Me-ish. It’s youthful and refreshing and I’m hooked on it.
Buy a digital or limited pink cassette copy over on Diet Cig’s Bandcamp and stream the EP in full below. Get ready to feel like you’re 16 in the ’90s.
