Death Cab for Cutie have joined forces with NME to begin streaming the second single off their eighth full-length record, Kintsugi. Titled “No Room In Frame,” give it a listen by following the jump below.
Whereas the previously released “Black Sun” was dark and brooding, “No Room In Frame” feels undeniably light and airy, and will almost certainly conjure quick comparisons to Plans and Narrow Stairs. Gibbard’s thought-provoking idioms are out in full force, and the whole track seems to come together effortlessly over the course of four toe-tapping minutes. It’s a side of Death Cab we haven’t seen in quite some time, and we can’t get enough of it.
If you’re a fan of the outfit’s latest offering, there’s still time to pre-order Kintsugi before it hits shelves on March 31.
