In anticipation of their upcoming fifth studio album, entitled American Candy, The Maine have just put out a cover of “The Drugs” by Weatherbox.
The band has previously talked about wanting to cover older songs and they have apparently been listening to this song for about ten years now. Their solid rendition features Real Friends, Knuckle Puck, and The Technicolors, all of whom will be joining them for a full U.S. tour this spring.
The band writes: “First heard ‘The Drugs’ almost 10 years ago and it still resonates today. Figured it’s a good time to share, so we collaborated with our future the American Candy tour mates. Enjoy and we can’t wait to see you on the road!”
