UTG PREMIERE: The Wild Young Hearts – “U R”

Los Angeles’ The Wild Young Hearts are poised to release their brand new album, titled Feel Good, on March 31. Today, we’re pleased to have teamed up with the SoCal three-piece to exclusively stream a brand new single from the effort, titled “U R.”

Recorded in Pasadena, CA with producer/engineer Doug Grean (Stone Temple Pilots, Sheryl Crow, The Crystal Method), Feel Good contains 10 tracks of upbeat rock with hints of pop and pop-punk that as a whole almost sounds like a well-produced record from the ’90s.

“U R” brings to mind a unique mixture of Eels and Good Charlotte, joining forces to hit the marks of the previously mentioned genre explorations. We’ll let you be the judge for yourself, though, after the jump.

Feel Good will be available for pre-order through iTunes this Friday and you will receive instant gratification tracks in “I Just Wanna Go Home,” “U R,” and “Venice Beach.”
