After several years in development, Sony Pictures Animation have released the first teaser for Genndy Tartakovsky’s Hotel Transylvania 2.

Set not too long after the events of the first film, Hotel Transylvania 2 centers around a family get together – as well as some secrets – that brings the legendary vampire known as Vlad (Mel Brooks) to town. Dracula is surprised to see his father, especially because he’s never been around all that much, but he tries his best to hold everything together when Vlad’s return turns his world upside down. None of that matters as far as the first teaser is concerned however, so let’s move on.

For their first appearance together since the original Hotel Transylvania, Drac and his pals are found climbing a tall structure in hopes of teaching Drac’s grandchild to fly. The gang makes it to the top, and not long after Drac tosses his beloved grandchild over the ledge, but he soon realizes the half-breed he loves so much may not have inherited the ability to fly. Hotel Transylvania 2 opens nationwide on September 25.
