Bloc Party End Hiatus, Tease New Song

The British indie rockers of Bloc Party have officially ended their two-year hiatus and are presently working on what will be their fifth full-length studio album. According to Stereogum, frontman Kele Okereke let the cat out of the bag yesterday while speaking with the Australian radio station Triple J, even going so far as to tease a new track titled “Exes.”

“It’s sounding like nothing that we’ve done before but that what everyone always says,” Okereke told hosts Veronica and Lewis. “We’re at the writing/recording phase. We’ve started recording—I think we have about 18 ideas and we’re going to lay them down properly in the next few months.”

It’s still unclear as to when the group plans to release said album, so be sure to check back with UTG for future updates. In the meantime, check out the teaser for “Exes” below, and let us know if you’re a fan in the comments section.
