In Hearts Wake Part Ways With Drummer

In Hearts Wake may be releasing a new album in just a couple of months, but that doesn’t mean there can’t be some hurdles they need to overcome before that happens. In a sad turn of events, the band has announced that their drummer, Caleb Burton, has decided to part ways with the group. The separation sounds amicable – it was just time for Burton to focus on his personal life. You can read the full statement from the band and Burton below.

As of right now the band does not have a permanent replacement, but they are using a fill-in drummer on their current tour.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that our long time drummer, friend and brother, Caleb Burton, will no longer be a part of In Hearts Wake.

Caleb’s departure is for personal reasons and as a result he will be unable to partake in our very busy international touring schedule. We all remain close and want to thank Caleb for everything he has brought to the band and wish him all the best for the future.

All In Hearts Wake tours will be going ahead as planned, and we’ll be using a fill in drummer for all upcoming dates–as some of you may have already noticed on our current US tour.

As always we are dedicated to our message and music, and the fire continues to burn bright for the remaining members of In Hearts Wake.

Here is a statement from Caleb:

“I never thought when I first joined In Hearts Wake I would be able to fulfil a dream of travelling around this country and the world playing music.

I want to thank everyone who has supported this band in any way on tour over the years.

Being apart of In Hearts Wake has been an incredibly fun journey and made me the person I am today.

I love music and the friends i’ve made all around the world from deciding to annoy my mum by taking up drums at 10 years old.

I love the guys and wish them all the best in the future!

peace // caleb”
