Michigan rock group, The Illustrator, have revealed their newest single, titled “The Yearning.” The track involves a lot of theatrical elements to it, including lots of orchestra, big band, driving guitars and killer vocals. The band is currently set to release an EP with this track included around Summer 2015.
Currently the group is set to perform at the Michigan stop of the Glamour Kills Tour on March 28, with supporting acts such as Set It Off, Against The Current, As It Is and Roam.
“With this new style of writing, I really wanted it to be a challenge to write something dark, but with that theatrical feel, like a Tim Burton film. It’s dark, it’s sexy, and I really feel that old fans and new fans are really gonna get into what we’ve put together.” – Vocalist Sean Hill.
“The Yearning” can be streamed right after the jump.
“The Yearning” is available for purchase via Bandcamp.
