Last month, we were lucky enough to premiere a brand new track from Mariage Blanc, one of our ‘9 Artists To Watch in 2015.’ Today, the indie rock four-piece is streaming another new song over at GroundSounds.
“Silent Nations” is the third track to surface from the band’s upcoming album, No Autobiography, and it’s tied for our favorite with every other song on the album. Yeah, it’s that good. We’ve made the comparisons before but if this is your first Mariage Blanc experience, you might find similarities to Real Estate, Elliott Smith, Melpo Mene or The Radio Dept. – and those would all be apt. The band carries itself with poise and confidence, though, and certainly isn’t some kind of ripoff of any of those acts. Their influences are undeniable but that refreshing, addictive feeling you sense when listening to their music – that’s all their own.
Stream “Silent Nations” below and be on the lookout for No Autobiography when it drops on April 7.
