Best Coast Premiere “Heaven Sent” Music Video

California surfer rock has found a home in the catchy tunes of Best Coast, but the latest single from the female-fronted band proves to be slightly edgier than their previous releases. The new track, titled “Heaven Sent,” introduces listeners to a more developed and matured Best Coast sound.

The music video, directed by Lana Kim and Best Coast frontwomanBethany Cosentino, does not feature an elaborate story line or dramatic video footage. Instead, Kim and Cosentino have taken a more simple approach, which fits well with the song style and overall vibe Best Coast gives off as a band. The simple shots of each band member combined with light smoke and drifting rose petals creates an ethereal atmosphere, allowing viewers to concentrate on the song instead of a theatrical performance.

The SoCal band’s forthcoming record, California Nights, releases on May 5 via Harvest Records.
