UTG PREMIERE: On Your Marks – “Replace”

on your marks

Young energy and potential will go a long way for most musicians. This quick mental note was embedded upon seeing New Jersey punk/emo outfit On Your Marks play a sold out Studio At Webster Hall last month for a one-off set during Have Mercy’s spring headliner run. The band immediately set the stage for a great night, kicking off the energy level of the room to an all-time high.

Today the four-piece is happy to announce the release of Movements In Loss, their latest three-track EP, which directly follows their full-length record from 2013, Ripped Out By The Roots. The EP will be released physically and digitally via Why Bother Records, a brand new label also out of New Jersey.

Below you will be able to check out the EP’s first single, entitled “Replace.” Reverberantly embodying the sounds of Citizen, Better Off, and the like, the track is one of three concepts contoured by lyrical mass appeal and stagnant rhythms that all tie into the idea of grief and loss. Take a listen below and let us know what you think.

Additionally, you can catch On Your Marks live on May 8 with Knuckle Puck at Gamechanger World in Asbury Park, NJ. Tickets for that show are available here.

Digital and physical pre-orders are available over at Why Bother Records.
