This is cause for cautious excitement. Morrissey has been touring the US more and more in recent years, but nearly every run has ended early due to one reason or another. We’re hoping this story has a happier ending, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens.

Earlier today, April 3, Morrissey announced plans to embark on a new US tour beginning in June 2015. The six-week run will begin in New Orleans and wrap up on July 25 in San Jose, CA. Along the way, Moz will hit almost every major city, including several dates on the East Coast. You can find his full itinerary below.

Openers for most of Morrissey’s upcoming dates have yet to be announced, but Blondie will accompany him at Madison Square Garden in NYC and Amanda Palmer will open in San Jose. We’ll bring you more information as soon as additional details are made available.
