Senses Fail Release Disconcerting Music Video For “The Importance Of The Moment Of Death”

In November of last year, New Jersey post-hardcore outfit Senses Fail announced that they will be entering the studio and releasing Pull The Thorns From Your Heart, their impending sixth studio album, some time this summer. Lead singer Buddy Nielsen describes the effort as “the complete documentation of my transformative spiritual experience from the darkness to the light.”

The new record is officially scheduled for a June 30 release via Pure Noise. Below you will find the music video for its lead single, entitled “The Importance Of The Moment Of Death.” The video features a frighteningly accurate depiction of some children’s ghastly fate upon entering adulthood. One may also note that judging by this single, it seems as though the band will continue heading into a harder, more aggressive direction in terms of their sound, much like on their last effort, Renacer.

“It’s a mythic representation of how innocence can be forcefully taken away from us as children, leaving us with too much too soon and without the proper coping skills,” lead singer Buddy Nielsen tells Noisey.

Creepy, meat-infested piñatas aside, the five-piece could not have chosen a better portrayal for the gruesome track. You can check out its new music video below.

In case you missed it, Senses Fail will also be on the entirety of the Vans Warped Tour this year. Details for those dates can be found here.
