Save Face Announce Split With My Heart, My Anchor

New Jersey punk band Save Face have announced their newest release. The band will be releasing two new tracks on a mixed-genre split with Maryland acoustic act My Heart, My Anchor on May 26 via Mayflower Collective. The split serves as My Heart, My Anchor’s first release under the Mayflower Collective roster of artists.

This is one of the most intriguing Mayflower releases so far. Save Face is unquestionably the heaviest act on the roster, combining progressive metal influences and modern fast-paced pop punk, and My Heart, My Anchor makes beautiful, vocally-led acoustic songs. I’ve been assured that Save Face won’t be stripping down their sound in order to fit in more with My Heart, My Anchor’s sound, so there will surely be a large divide between the two sides of the split. It should call to mind memories of the Such Gold split with Into It. Over It, which is definitely a good thing.

Check out the artwork below. Save Face will be releasing a video for “Brain” next week, so stay tuned for new music.
