Leon Bridges is set to take over the world. His juxtaposed mixture of smooth rock and jazz nostalgia with modern pop make for a combination of no boundaries — it’s the type of artist both you and your parents can bond together over.

His debut record, Coming Home, is due out June 23 on Columbia Records and today a music video for the track “Better Man” surfaced online. Check out the roughly 2-and-half-minute track after the jump and fall in love with Bridges’ tunes. Under The Gun Review Editor and Founder James Shotwell had a chance to catch Bridges in Boston earlier this month. You can view some of his thoughts on the experience below as well.

Of the hundreds of shows I have attended in my life, only a handful have sounded as good, if not better, than the recorded material that first grabbed my interest. Bridges is now amongst those special few, and the more I think about it the higher up my list he climbs.
