Brian Marquis, singer-songwriter bad-ass and head-dude-in-charge of the Vans Warped Tour‘s Acoustic Basement, gave the world a little, but nonetheless awesome, present this morning in the form of a ’90s cover EP.

Premiering exclusively with Allston Pudding earlier today, the record contains renditions of famed tracks from Weezer, Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Radiohead and Fiona Apple. It also features an all-star guest line-up, including Vinnie Caruana (The Movielife, I Am the Avalanche) on vocals, Will Noon (fun., Straylight Run) on drums, Julio Tavarez (The Black and The White, As Tall As Lions) on bass, and Doug Grean (Scott Weiland, The Terpsichords) on piano/keyboards. You can stream the EP, titled I Miss The 90’s, after the jump.

Looking to really embrace the ’90s with this release? Buy it on tape right now from Antique Records — but hurry — supply is limited to 50 copies.

Marquis had this to say about the release:

“The 90s were a time where I was beginning to discover music on my own and it was an exciting time for me growing up at the peak of the grunge era and the height of MTV’s power to communicate through music videos to the masses. Though it was very hard to choose, I picked 5 of my favorite songs from the 90s to pay tribute to the artists and time in my life that ultimately got me hooked on becoming a musician and trying to take over the world, or at least a small part of it.”
