Citizen Release “Stain” From ‘Everybody Is Going To Heaven’

Citizen are preparing to shatter any kind of assumption about their sophomore LP, Everybody Is Going To Heaven. Due out June 23 via Run For Cover, Citizen are bathing in darker and grittier waters than most would assume.

With the release of “Stain,” the second single from the LP, the band solidifies their new sound. Speaking with Alternative Press, guitarist Nick Hamm says, “we’re doing whatever we feel like and we’re not too worried about people missing a certain old sound or anything like that. The stuff we have prepared for the record is twice as big as Youth. It’s Citizen, but it’s turned up to 11.”

With destructive bass tones, dissonant guitars, and angst ridden, yet calm vocals, Everybody Is Going To Heaven seems to be one of the most polarizing upcoming releases, and that is very exciting.
