First ‘Cooties’ Trailer Is All About Killing (Zombie) Kids

There is nothing we love more at UTG than a great horror-comedy, and this fall Cooties looks like it could be something special.

Starring a cast of indie favorites, including Rainn Wilson, Elijah Wood, and Alison Pill, Cooties finds a group of elementary school employees fighting for their lives against a ravenous pack of underage monsters. It seems a virus has begun to spread, but it only strikes those who have yet to go through puberty, so our protagonists will have to fight off the hungry horde if they want to make it through the night. You can view the first trailer below.

Cooties premiered at Sundance 2014, but later underwent several reshoots that led to film’s release being pushed into the new year. The fall premiere plays perfectly with a relatively light Halloween calendar, so as long as the final product is half as good as the footage below I think Lionsgate will have another hit on their hands. Comment and let us know if you agree.

Cooties opens everywhere September 18.
