Listen to Day Wave’s Newest Single and Have Your Life Changed for the Better

There are few things better than stumbling across new music that immediately makes you stop what you’re doing and really listen. Whether it’s a mammoth breakdown from some rising metal juggernaut or a head-spinning verse from an undiscovered rapper, the rush of instantly falling in love with a song or artist is second to none, and something that music writers like myself long for.

As rare as these instances may be, they do happen from time to time, and I am pleased to report that I found myself in such a position this morning, when I stumbled upon Day Wave’s latest single, “We Try But We Don’t Fit In.” Within seconds, I realized that something special was pouring through my headphones; wispy guitar lines and dreamy reverb worked as one to transport me from my tiny office cubicle to a carefree, seaside state of mind, and instantly I knew that I had to share this gem of a track with everyone I possibly could. It’s the kind of undeniable anthem that can turn your whole day around, if you let it. Give it a listen below (via Noisey):
