Pentimento Break Our Hearts With “Stuck Forever”

There is something strange that happens when someone finds themselves in an unhealthy situation for a prolonged amount of time. Despite their senses telling them everything is not okay, people find ways to convince themselves their inner voice is wrong. They forge ahead, though in their hearts they know it’s wrong, and ultimately lead themselves to the brink of depression. It’s a sad turn of events that happens to people every single day all over the world, and now those unfortunate souls have an anthem all their own.

Today, in anticipation for their new 7-inch, Pentimento released a song titled “Stuck Forever.” As you can probably gather by now, the song deals with the inner battle that occurs when someone wonders whether or not they should stay in a relationship that has long gone south. It’s a situation many readers have found themselves in before, including myself, and it’s depicted with heartbreaking honesty within the context of the song. You can stream the track below.

Pentimento used the release of “Stuck Forever” to launch pre-orders for that aforementioned 7-inch through Bad Timing Records. Click here to claim your copy ahead of the EP’s July release.

Speaking of July, Pentimento will be on the road for part of the month supporting Reggie And The Full Effect. Dates for the run can be found below the song stream at the end of this post.

It’s been some time since Pentimento were a recurring part of the weekly news cycle, but “Stuck Forever” seems to signal a return to business as usual for the group, so we expect plenty more headline-worthy reveals in the weeks and months ahead. Follow UTG on Twitter for updates.
