Despite an ongoing legal battle that has left one member behind bars for over a month, Migos continue to share new music with fans. We shared one new song last week, and just last night two more tracks found their way online.
Produced by Deko, “John Wick” and “Pretty Little Lady” showcase two very different sides of the Migos men. The former, which takes its name from the 2014 Keanu Reeves film with the same title, lays a foundation ripe for off the cuff ego-rap that Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff make their own in no time at all. The latter, a far more romantic offering, finds the trio talking about the ladies they swoon and the way they do it. You can stream both tracks below.
There is no way of knowing whether or not these tracks will appear on Migos’ upcoming debut album, but if I had to guess I would say these songs are little more than loosies that are just now making their way to the general public. Neither song is bad. In fact, quite the opposite is true, but neither one has the kind of marketable sound found on tracks like “One Time” or “Fight Night.” Migos can and have done better, so I doubt they would let material like this make their album. We’ll bring you more details on the record as its July 31 release date nears. Follow UTG on Twitter for updates.
