American Opera Covering Riff Raff Is What Dreams Are Made Of

This just might be the greatest video on the internet today.

American Opera has spent the entirety of his summer on the Vans Warped Tour, and each week along the way he has released an acoustic cover of material from other various Warped Tour artists. We’ve seen AO tackle many scene staples to date, but this week the one and only John Bee has truly outdone himself by providing the world with a stripped down take on Riff Raff’s “Dolce & Gabbana.”

Yes, the Michigan-born singer-songwriter has transformed Riff Raff’s biggest song into an acoustic offering that will have you singing along in no time at all. I know that may sound like an impossible feat given the source material, but it’s true. John Bee has found the heart and soul of Riff Raff’s music, enveloped it with his own unique sound, and delivered it to the audience as only he is able. You can view his performance below.

We believe American Opera is currently putting the final touches on his debut album, which should be in stores before the end of 2015. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for details on his post-Warped plans.
