We are now barreling headlong towards the release of The Wonder Years‘ fifth full-length album, No Closer To Heaven. Thus far, we’ve been given two very promising glimpses of the outfit’s latest studio effort, and earlier today, we were graced with a third.
“I Don’t Like Who I Was Then” plays out like a prototypical pop-punk ripper, but shines bright thanks to the Philly outfit’s unparalleled musicianship. Dan Campbell’s tell-all delivery is striking as ever, and guitarists Casey Cavaliere, Matt Brasch, and Nick Steinborn absolutely kill it. Check it out below (via Alternative Press), and let us know what you think in the replies.
This October, the six-piece will be heading out on a month-long run with Motion City Soundtrack, State Champs, and You Blew it!. If you’re interested in attending, a full itinerary can additionally be found below.
No Closer To Heaven hits shelves on September 4 through Hopeless Records. Pre-orders are ongoing.
