Lana Del Rey Delivers Yet Again On “Music To Watch Boys To”

This week just went from good to great. Lana Del Rey has shared another promotional single from Honeymoon, and this one might just be the best yet.

Built atop the kind of epic cinematic strings that helped give Ultraviolence its timeless aesthetic, “Music To Watch Boys To” is the kind of slow-burn LDR goodness fans have come to expect from their queen. The song was originally slated to be the lead single for Honeymoon, but Lana’s label intervened at the last minute and chose the hypnotic “High By The Beach” instead. While I think that was the better choice for pure marketing purposes, “Music To Watch Boys To” is fire in its own unique way. You can stream the song below.

Beats One had the pleasure of premiering “Music To Watch Boys To” earlier today. The song was played for the first time at 12:30 EST to an audience whose size is unknown. Apple’s relationship with LDR is long-running, but I can’t help feeling a premiere with a proper news outlet would have resulted in more exposure and/or fanfare.

Whatever the case, Honeymoon arrives later this month. Are you ready?
