First ‘Jungle Book’ Trailer Is Gorgeous & Action-Packed

Disney is currently preparing to release an updated take on The Jungle Book directed by Iron Man mastermind Jon Favreau. It’s an ambitious idea that follows many failed attempts to recapture the magic of the original animated film, but so far this new version looks pretty damn sweet.

Today, Disney released the first trailer for the new Book, and in turn offered fans their first look at the computer generated landscape Mowgli and his friends will inhabit. The footage teases a massive jungle, complete with gorgeously rendered animals and nature, as well as several big action scenes. The only thing that really seems to be missing is the heart, but a quick tease of a classic moment at the tail end reveals there is much more to the film that what we’re being shown. You can view the clip below.

With its April 16 release date still many months away, there is no doubt a barrage of additional clips and teasers from The Jungle Book will be revealed before the film hits theaters. Follow UTG on Twitter for updates.
