Brian Fallon of The Gaslight Anthem is set to release his debut solo record, Painkillers, on March 11. You can listen to the first single from the record, titled “A Wonderful Life,” below via Wall Street Journal.

While Fallon has dabbled in several musical projects apart from The Gaslight Anthem in years past, including The Horrible Crowes with Gaslight guitar tech Ian Perkins, and the short-lived Molly & The Zombies, Painkillers is his first true solo endeavor. “A Wonderful Life” is reminiscent of earlier Gaslight material, particularly “American Slang,” with just a hint of Americana that surely has something to do with producer Butch Walker. It’s a great start to what is sure to be one of 2016’s most anticipated records.
