This morning, we’re thrilled to bring you Star-Splitter‘s brand new music video for “Afterglow,” a dreamy electro-pop ballad that’s haunting, hypnotic, and all sorts of catchy. The track is taken from duo’s recently released maxi-single of the same name, which, despite its meager tracklist, has consistently dazzled since dropping back in October. Check it out after the break, and let us know if you’re a fan in the comments.
Speaking on the outfit’s latest set of visuals, vocalist Andi Rogers shared:
“When we started planning a video for ‘Afterglow,’ all we knew was that we wanted it to be black and white. We approached our friend Chris Marley, who had done the black and white photography for our maxi-single, and told him we wanted a very simply shot video with the same look and feel as the photos. The song itself is sonically similar to the rest of our catalogue; lyrically, it focuses on the aftermath of losing a person (‘Every time you go / All I see is afterglow’), so we also wanted some kind of glowing effect that would visually underscore the lyrical content.”
Though we’ve only just become acquainted with Star-Splitter, we’re confident that this twosome is meant for big things. If you agree, keep in touch on Instagram and Twitter, and pick up their latest release here.
