Jas Patrick provides DIY Americana with third release, ‘Inky Ovine’

Nashville singer-songwriter (and passionate old school Nintendo gamer) Jas Patrick released his third effort, Inky Ovine, late in 2015 after two years of saving money to purchase the necessary gear and studio time to make it happen, and one year of creating with engineer Brad Bass. Passion and dedication led to this EP, not to mention several additional tracks that will lend themselves to a fuller follow-up in the future.

Inky Ovine is do-it-yourself blues-rock from the ground up, every track packed with a fervor and determination, most evident in Patrick’s vocals—a deep delivery (ofttimes an ardent howl), seemingly seasoned beyond his years.

Speaking of DIY, Jas had a hand in every aspect of making the video for Inky Ovine‘s lead single, “Harpy,” which you can view below. From directing the visuals all the way down to casting it, catering the shoot and creating the video’s concept, Jas Patrick was at the reins. Let us know what you think of the end result.

Inky Ovine can be purchased digitally, on CD or in a choice of bundle with shirts, stickers and more through Patrick’s website. You can listen through the six-track effort below.
