London duo Boy From The Crowd offer up a rip-roaring romp of raw, punk-leaning garage rock on their newest five-track EP, titled Where The Bees Come To Die. Clocking in at just over 20 minutes, the band’s newest effort is almost perplexing in its calculated recklessness. It’s a musical oxymoron of sorts that becomes clearer when paired with frontman Vinny Piana’s thoughts on good ol’ rock and roll:
“One of the things that makes rock ’n’ roll great is its little imperfections and riding on the edge of disaster, knowing full well that any second it could all just fall apart.”
It’s unpredictable; volatile. It’s that excitement inherent to the genre that makes Where The Bees Come To Die so intriguing in its energy, dynamic and welcome instability.
