Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania pop-rock veterans Punchline recently released their fifth full-length record—their first in five years—titled Thrilled. Quickly following that up, though, the band has just unveiled a free EP that highlights arguably their best song to date, and various versions of it as well.
“Heart Transplant” originally appeared on Punchline’s 2004 Fueled By Ramen full-length debut, Action, but has now been revisited (thank you, Punchline!) for this release which includes the original demo, studio version, a techno-like remix, an amazing, newly recorded acoustic rendition, and a live acoustic version as well. You can get your free download through the Modern Short Stories store. You can also pick up a copy of Punchline’s newest album through InVogue Records.
You can listen to the original version of “Heart Transplant” below, if you need a refresher. Listen to it. Do it.
