‘Miss Peregrine’s’ trailer is weird in the best way

You might think you can be a bit weird sometimes, but you’ve got nothing on the “peculiarities” of the kids in the recently released trailer for Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.

Based on the 2011 bestselling novel of the same name, by Ransom Riggs, Miss Peregrine’s follows Jacob Portman as he discovers the titular orphanage and realizes the world is much more bizarre than he might have thought. The film adaptation is being directed by Tim Burton, and the trailer oozes with the visual splendor that Burton is known for. You can watch the full trailer after the jump.

First impressions indicate that Burton has done an excellent job of bringing the world Riggs created to the screen for both fans of the book and newcomers alike. As a member of the “Give Eva Green Every Starring Role Available” Club, I am incredibly eager to see her performance as Miss Peregrine.

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children stars Eva Green, Asa Butterfield, Ella Purnell, Allison Janney, and Samuel L. Jackson and is set for release on September 30, 2016.
