RYDER stuns on “Fade Away”

With vocals powerful enough to dominate a Billboard-charting single, it’s only a matter of time before RYDER becomes a household name. Case and point: “Fade Away.”

A swelling epic that never climaxes in a traditional sense, the indie-pop artist’s first release of 2016 makes the transition from moody, contemplative slow-jam to lighter-raising, electro anthem with an infectious yet subdued hook serving as the nexus between styles. The track is not only impressive for its blending of genres, but the innateness with which RYDER performs each one; her Lana Del Rey-esque lows just as natural as a set of euphoric “ooh, oh oh!” highs.

It wouldn’t be hyperbole to call “Fade Away” one of the 2016’s best singles to date, so follow the jump to give RYDER’s impassioned work a listen (and be sure to grab a free download of the track as well).
