‘War Dogs’ trailer finds Jonah Hill and Miles Teller selling guns, trading barbs

It’s fair to say that most of us would love to make millions of dollars while we’re still in our 20s. Arms dealing probably didn’t cross your mind when it comes to jobs for getting rich, but that’s exactly what Jonah Hill and Miles Teller do in the newly released trailer for War Dogs.

The film is based on the true story of Efraim Diveroli (Hill) and David Packouz (Teller), two friends during the first Iraq War who discover a loophole that allows them to bid on U.S. military contracts. What starts out as an easy way to get rich quickly transforms into a harrowing adventure to fulfill a $300 million deal. Judging by the trailer, it’s not all smooth sailing in the world of gunrunning. You can watch the full trailer after the jump.

Todd Phillips of The Hangover fame directs, and the footage embodies the best aspects of that trilogy. There’s fantastic chemistry between Hill and Teller as they banter, with lavish shots of clubs and parties, frantic energy throughout, and of course an appearance by Hangover leading man Bradley Cooper.

War Dogs stars Jonah Hill, Miles Teller, Ana de Armas, and Bradley Cooper. The film is set to begin worldwide release on August 19, 2016.
