Boyfrndz go on boozy sci-fi adventure in “Ghosted” music video

If you’re looking for a music video with adventure, crazy creatures and plenty of booze, look no further than Austin trio Boyfrndz‘s new video for “Ghosted” (via Noisey).

At first glance, it’s a parody of sci-fi films, showcasing what Captain Underpants might look like as an adult, with laser eyes combating evil. It’s like a low-budget, post-apocalyptic kaiju movie. There’s also a special plot twist at the end. The track itself perfectly matches the video’s pace with elements of sludge and psych-rock with pulsating drums adding an additional layer to the song. Check it all out below.

Boyfrndz’s upcoming album, Impulse, will be released through Brutal Panda Records on May 27. Pre-orders for the record are ongoing.
