The first trailer for ‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them’ will give you chills all over

Harry Potter is something that a large majority of our generation grew up with. Back in ’98, we started reading the books, and in 2011, we watched the final film in the series, leaving a huge chapter of our lives behind. None of us knew, at that time, that we’d be getting a look into the extended universe of the stories just five short years later.

In 2001, as a way to raise money for the charity Comic Relief, J.K. Rowling released two small books that we knew as being textbooks used by Hogwarts students in the series: Quidditch Through The Ages and Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them

Today, MTV has an exclusive premiere of the first theatrical trailer for the latter, serving as the latest installment in the Harry Potter cinematic universe.

Set in New York in the ’20s, Fantastic Beasts stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander—the author of the titled textbook—on an adventure that looks like it involves politics and the Hufflepuff’s own expulsion from Hogwarts, a decision protested by Albus Dumbledore himself. The trailer also shows Colin Farrell as an official-looking figure.

Take a peek below as that familiar logo and music starts up and get ready to feel a thousand goosebumps a thousand times as your anticipations rise for Fantastic Beasts, due in theaters on November 18!
