St. Vincent set to direct segment of female-driven horror anthology ‘XX’

We’re suckers for a good horror anthology here at UTG. We’re also big fans of female directors getting a chance to shine. For those reasons, we are absolutely ecstatic that Annie Clark, better known by her stage name St. Vincent, is directing one forth of upcoming horror anthology XX.

St. Vincent joins three other supremely talented female directors who are lending their visions to the project. The other directors are Jovanka Vuckovic, Jennifer Lynch, and Karyn Kusama (director of the excellent The Invitation, which saw a limited release last week). Clark confirmed the news earlier this afternoon on Twitter, along with sharing a poster for the film, which you can view below.

There’s no word on a release date for XX yet, but Magnet Releasing and XYZ Films are set to handle distribution.

Do you plan on lining up to get spooked by XX when it’s released? Sound off in the comments.
