Warner Bros. CEO confirms development of solo Batman film

batman v superman feature

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice has garnered an incredibly mixed reaction. Critics have generally disliked the film, while fans of the DC universe have found solace in the tone and setting Warner Bros. have built up for future films. One aspect of the film that has been universally praised though, is Ben Affleck’s Batman.

Rumors have been circulating for a while now that Affleck had completed a script for an untitled Batman solo film, and now Warner Bros. have confirmed the existence of such a film. At the studio’s panel at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, CEO Kevin Tsujihara stated that “we’re working with Ben Affleck on a standalone Batman movie.”

Hopefully the film will be released sooner rather than later, especially after Dawn of Justice‘s poor critical performance.

Next up for the DCEU is Suicide Squad out this August. Batman will be making an appearance in the film alongside Joker, Harley Quinn, and many, many more.
