Skylar Grey has contributed her vocals to multiple hit singles (alongside writing a handful of them) for internationally known artists á la Nicki Minaj and Dr. Dre, but on “Moving Mountains,” Grey opts to take center stage. Armed with nothing but an acoustic guitar and top-class vocals, the track’s chorus finds her offering some universally needed advice: “For once in your life, push your ambitions aside / and instead of moving mountains, let the mountains move you.”
Accompanied by a stunning music video with sweeping shots of a snowy valley and Grey performing in front of a roaring fireplace, the visuals accentuate the song’s subtly uplifting mood even further.
Follow the jump to give “Moving Mountains” a proper listen and catch Grey on tour with Atlas Genius this spring as they trek across the United States.
