UTG PREMIERE: Inquiry – ‘Ghost Poet’

Inquiry

This morning, we’re thrilled to bring you Inquiry‘s outstanding new EP, Ghost Poet, a full week ahead of its official May 3 release. Listen in after the break, and let us know what you think in the comments section below.

Speaking on their dynamic new undertaking, the band shared:

“We came to the studio with an open mind and determination. With the week we had to record at Earlygrayce Studios, Jordan Haynes of Artifex Pereo pushed us to play better and helped to refine our sound. On the last day, when we listened through the EP, we were speechless. We truly believe that this is the sound that defines who Inquiry is. This record that we wrote is a concept record. It’s a play on the phrase ‘When you die, your life flashes before your eyes.’ But, in that ill-fated dying moment, you are given a chance to change things in your past. You go back and see everything from the beginning, but with all of your memories intact. Repeating everything leads to the same ending, so what do you do? Do you take those chances you should have? Do you shy away from your moral compass to ensure that things work out for the ‘better’? Or does the ending of a story open up the possibility of a ‘better’ life for others? What exactly is freedom? We are definitely excited for you all to hear what we’ve made and we want to thank everyone who has been a part of our journey until now.”
