Brand New release first new song in a year, “I Am A Nightmare”

Brand New Nightmare

It’s been a quite a while since we last got music from Brand New. The band released “Mene” over a year ago, and it’s been a whopping seven years since their last album, Daisy, came out. Thankfully, the wait for new music is over. The band shared “I Am A Nightmare,” presumably off their upcoming (and possibly final) release later this year.

“I Am A Nightmare” is an upbeat rock jam, with a catchy guitar riff and an infectious chorus. The single is currently available at the band’s website both digitally and as a 12″ vinyl.

As we detailed at the beginning of the year, Brand New is set to go on tour with Modest Mouse this summer, starting June 28 in Magna, Utah, and ending July 31 in Portland. A few shows still have tickets left; check the band’s tour page for more details on those.

Check out the new single and all the tour dates below, and let us know what you think of the song in the comments.
