It seems in the age of Paramore being one of the largest pop rock acts in the world, we’ve been welcomed into a world flooded with bands who have a girl vocalist for the sake of matching the trend. They think if it’s what’s popular in the market then they have a better chance of getting signed, when really, they just blend into the blur of the hordes of bands who just don’t have what it takes.
However, in every situation, there are exceptions to the rule. One of these just happens to be the Boston based, The Modern Elite. Blending strong female vocals with great guitar work and over structure, The Modern Elite have quickly seperated themselves from the pack of “imitation” girl fronted bands. Yes, Rebecca the vocalist is attractive and yes, the band plays music that most would say is made for a younger market, but with one listen you’ll know there’s more to be had hear.
