Shadow of Whales

DROP EVERYTHING & JAM: Shadow Of Whales’ New EP Is The Best Thing You’ll Spin Today

Thanks to an exclusive stream via our friends at AbsolutePunk, we have officially found our favorite new release of the day. Shadow of Whales, an Austin, Texas based indie-rock group, have dropped one of the sassiest and catchiest records in recent memory. Mixing synth-pop with a bit of post-hardcore aggression, the self-titled record comes off sounding like everything the new Panic At The Disco! record should have sounded like but missed completely.

It has power, it has drive, and it without a doubt contains some of the most grossly intimidating melodies around. Songs like the burlesque and barber …

Justin Bieber Allegedly Steals Paramore Fan Artwork; Hayley Williams Responds

Justin Bieber has this habit of releasing “surprise” singles for fans, and more often than not those songs are available to be downloaded for free. Bieber’s latest song though is raising some serious questions, and not because of its content. The artwork for the song has some fans believing he “copied” the style of Paramore‘s artwork for Riot!, but now it seems the artwork itself was lifted from a fan of Paramore.

Property of Zack and Absolutepunk first pointed out that the artwork was incredibly similar to Riot!. Our very own Jacob Tender has pointed out that …

The band’s sound generally focuses on the clean vocals, and “Stationary” highlights the frontman’s voice. This is one of my favorite songs the band has released so far, and I’m sure I’m not the …

Dr Manhattan

Dr. Manhattan Confirm Reunion And New EP

Unfortunately there are too many bands out there who seem to have given up the ghost before they had the opportunity to “hit it big.” There are some lucky fans who got to enjoy that band’s music, and it’s bittersweet. Sometimes a few of those bands will get back together, and in those instances it can cause a stir in the music community.

Dr. Manhattan have been out of the limelight for quite a few years now. Their last show together was back in 2011, and while they’ve remained relatively active online, haven’t created anything new nor hinted at plans …
