Stream Aretha Franklin’s Cover Of “Rolling In The Deep”

No, that headline is not a lie. The greatest living diva is gearing up to release a new album of covers, and earlier today her take on one relatively young diva’s modern classic debuted online.

Few artists have the ability to instill a sense of excitement and fun in your average music fan quite like Aretha, and it’s not all that hard to understand why. For Decades, Aretha Franklin has been a beacon for all that is good and entertaining in the world of music. Even when her health began to fail, Franklin was a rock in the pop community, …

Unreleased Adele Tracks Surface Online

While the world hotly anticipates Adele’s followup to her incredibly successful sophomore record, 21, a few unreleased songs from those sessions have surfaced online.

Ironically titled “You’ll Never See Me Again” and “Never Gonna Leave You,” the new songs were recorded with Fraser T Smith in 2010, so these are not an indication of what’s to come for the superstar singer, but it’s a nice stopgap while we wait for the new record.

The songs are quickly being pulled from online sources, but they’re easily found on YouTube. You can hear the new tracks via the videos below, as …

Titled Good Enough and Back To School Pack, the mixtapes came out in 2009 — that’s three years before the Chicago rapper’s debut mixtape, 10 Day, came out and four years before this year’s breakthrough Acid Rap. Looks like we have a Reddit user to thank for scouring through the Chicago rapper’s old Facebook page. …

Adele Is Back In The Studio; Planning Mid-2014 Release

Pop music feels empty in 2013 without the presence of a strong and emotionally-charged vocalist somewhere in the top 10. The last few years have been filled with the presence of Adele to keep real talent challenging the likes of EDM-addicted starlets, but this year the songstress has taken some well deserved time off to start her family and think about what she wants to do next. Now, it seems, she is ready to return.

According to a new story on Gigwise (which references The Mirror), Adele has returned to the studio to begin working on a new album currently …

Complete List Of 2013 Grammy Winners

The 2013 Grammy Awards aired last night on television, and now those of us not willing to kill four hours with ego and glitter can read up on all the shenanigans thanks to countless blogs and news blurbs. We may run a few stories on various performances or behind-the-scenes moments as the day carries on, but for now we’re sticking to what is really important (the winners).

In the weeks leading up to last night it seemed like 2013 was going to be the year younger acts truly dominated the awards season. Frank Ocean and fun. were highlights going in, …

MUSIC VIDEO: Muse – “Supremacy”

Brit pomp rockers Muse premiered the music video for “Supremacy”, the fourth single from their most recent album The 2nd Law.

A pivot away from Muse’s previous material, the focus on subtle sonic textures in “Supremacy” marks a new, more nuanced direction for the band.

Just kidding! The song is the audio equivalent of the following “What If?” scenario; in which Black Holes And Revelations closer “Knights of Cydonia” makes sweet, passionate love to Adele’s theme for Skyfall only to sneak out of the bedroom in the morning, leaving the soulful track from the British songstress shaken, not stirred. …

STREAM: Adele – “Skyfall”

It was confirmed within the last two weeks and tonight we have the premiere of Adele’s theme for the upcoming James Bond film, Skyfall. Written with Paul Epworth, Adele’s signature elegance breathes larger-than-life qualities into this one, and I think it fits nicely alongside the other legendary themes in the Bond cannon. You can stream the single after the jump.

Skyfall hits theaters this November

Preview of Adele’s “Skyfall” theme released

The theme song to the upcoming 23rd James Bond picture “Skyfall” may not be released officially till Thursday, but a short preview of Adele’s song was just released. The preview, clocking in at just under two minutes, recalls the older themes from the Sean Connery days of James Bond, and with everything that’s happening, people might just need a little old fashioned.

Adele to Sing Theme Song in Newest James Bond Movie

According to reports from TheFilmStage, it’s certain that British pop-star Adele will be the voice of the theme for the newest James Bond movie Skyfall. She apparently has been in Abby Road Studios with the composer for the film Thomas Newman recording a single song.

This choice makes so much sense, and I’m not surprised even in the slightest. The singer has some of the best pipes in pop music right now, and since she’s from where Skyfall is set (Britain in case you have never seen the first twenty-two movies), it’s a match that fits the spirit of England’s …
