Better Off

Better Off Release “I Was Better 10 Years Ago” From ‘Meth Head’

Better Off recently announced their signing to Equal Vision Records and confirmed the release of a seven-inch entitled Meth Head. We heard the title track a while back, and you can now stream the b-side, “I Was Better 10 Years Ago,” at AltPress.

This band is something special, and the new track solidifies that. I think I prefer this song to “Meth Head,” although I’m not sure how I feel about them in comparison to last year’s full-length, (I Think) I’m Leaving. The new seven-inch is a bit of a different direction. Good, but different.

On first listen, it seems to be exactly what one would expect from a new Attila track. For some readers, this could spell head-banging triumph, and for others, unbridled despair, but don’t just take our word for it; …

We must have heard the majority of Transit‘s latest album by now, right? For the seventh day in a row, the Massachusetts four-piece is streaming a new song exclusively at AltPress. You can hear “Fine By Me” below.

Much like the other songs we’ve heard from the album so far, Transit seems to be taking on an alt-pop sound with their new record, Joyride. Some of the Third Eye Blind influences from Young New England are taken more in stride on “Fine By Me,” and the results are fantastic. I’m loving the new direction, and I’m excited …

Xerxes, the melodic hardcore band you’ve been hearing so much about lately, have released a new song from their upcoming album, Collision Blonde, over at AltPress.

I had a short but intense romantic stint with a girl studying in Chicago at a university that will go unnamed during this

This is the third song released by the band for this record, and they only get better and better.
