This seems to be the week for hip hop artists stealing songs. Funk legend George Clinton has filed a lawsuit against The Black Eyed Peas over their hit song “Shut Up” saying that they stole a portion of George Clinton’s song “(Not Just) Knee Deep”.
The Black Eyed Peas will be performing during halftime of the 2011 Superbowl.
For the second (and third) time this year, the Black Eyed Peas have been sued by musician’s claiming the group stole their work. This time, the songs in question are “I Gotta Feeling” and “Boom Boom Pow.” Find out more, here.
