This year is the five-year mark since North Carolina rapper J. Cole‘s breakthrough mixtape The Warm Up dropped. He’s escalated quickly in fame since then, working alongside modern greats like Eminem, Justin Timberlake, and Kendrick Lamar. To honor the anniversary of that release, J. Cole stopped by Sway last weekend to shoot a 30-minute special of RapFix and also wrote a letter to fans on his Dreamvillain blog about The Warm Up, its impact, and his rising fame. Taking Back Sunday Post Message to Fans

The band announced yesterday that it would be releasing a follow-up to 2011’s self titled, and today brings a message from the band to its fans.

In the love note, the Long Island boys declare their excitement for the upcoming Happiness Is; they also briefly describe the recording process for the record.

Tyga Fans Riot In San Diego

1,200 angry fans rioted after rapper Tyga failed to appear at his January 6 show, at the World Beat Center, in San Diego, CA. Tyga apparently did not think of mentioning to the ticket-holders that he would be late and people went on destroying everything from floors, walls and much more. He is now permanently banned from ever performing at the WBC.
