Riot Fest Denver 2015 Lineup Revealed

Christmas has moved from December to May this year, and tonight is the night Santa gives us all the one thing we have been demanding: The lineups for Riot Fest 2015.

The second lineup to be revealed tonight, May 27, was for the Denver event, which takes place August 28-30. Additional bands and details will be revealed in the coming months, but today’s news is certainly enough to warrant you spending every dollar you have to buy tickets as soon as possible. Nada Surf’s Matthew Caws Covers Kevin Devine’s “Fiscal Cliff”

Matthew Caws of Nada Surf has unveiled his contribution to Kevin Devine’s ongoing 7-inch series, Devinyl Splits, which is set to run throughout 2015, and will feature collaborations with Perfect Pussy’s Meredith Graves, Tigers Jaw, and many others.

Following Devine’s lead, Caws has offered up a cover of “Fiscal Cliff,” taken from Kevin Devine & The Goddamn Band’s 2013 album, Bubblegum. Stream it here via Consequence of Sound, and let us know what you think in the comments section below.

For those who haven’t been keeping tabs on Kevin Devine – he has some seriously exciting projects coming up this year. He recently announced his Devinyl Split Series, which is a series of split 7″ EPs that will be released every other month this year. There will be six splits total, and the first three collaborators have already been announced. February’s split features Nada Surf frontman Matthew Caws. April’s split will feature Perfect Pussy‘s Meredith Graves. June’s split will feature Tigers Jaw.

Nada Surf Announce U.S Tour

Indie rockers Nada Surf have announced a short U.S tour for this upcoming winter. The tour will be kicking off December 6 and will run for a little over a week.

The new tour dates will wrap a very busy year from the band, although these are some of the only U.S dates the band has before the end of the year. Run For Cover To Release Debut EP From Coasta

The Boston based record label Run For Cover Records have announced they will be releasing the debut EP from the Long Island indie rockers Coasta. The label plans to release the bands five song EP on vinyl later this summer.

Coasta is described by their new label as a band that  “craft brooding, atmospheric pop-rock songs akin to Nada Surf”, a comparison I’m sure the band does not mind. Nick Diener, from Michigan’s The Swellers, chose to perform a special cover of Nada Surf’s hit “Blizzard of ’77” and can be viewed right here! The frontman took time off from their tour in England to provide us with some rock goodness.

Rumored (leaked) lineup for Coachella 2012

The new year is rolling around and with it comes another year of great music. Next spring is the Coachella Valley Music and Fine Arts Festival, a huge (sweaty) gathering of celebrities, rich folk, and hipsters.  To entertain these individuals, hundreds of musicians will flock to the Coachella Valley to play.

A Goldenvoice insider has revealed a rumored list of artists set to perform at the 2012 Coachella festival. Not every artist has been confirmed, but the list inside gives a pretty good depiction of what the next festival’s lineup will look like.
