Patrick Stump to Fill In For Ben Folds On NBC’s ‘The Sing Off’

Since its creation in 2009, NBC’s The Sing Off has rostered some pretty well-known musical judges to officiate, and occasionally participate, in the show’s a cappella performances.

To date, the list of celebrity judges is as follows: Ben Folds, Shawn Stockman (Boyz 2 Men), Sara Bareilles, Nicole Scherzinger, and Jewel.

Now, NBC can add Fall Out Boy‘s Patrick Stump to that list, as he steps in for the upcoming season in place of a touring Ben Folds.


Community’s Donald Glover Lands New Series Based on Atlanta Music Scene

Comedian Donald Glover may be leaving Community, but his next gig isn’t too far away. The actor and comedian has just signed on to write, executive produce and star in a half-hour comedy that is currently in development with FX. Set around the comedian’s home town and its music scene, Glover’s new project is tentatively titled Atlanta, which isn’t surprising given the comedian’s active music career as hip-hop artist Childish Gambino.

While several networks were reportedly interested in the project, Glover was ultimately attracted to FX’s willingness to accommodate his busy hip-hop touring schedule. Glover will appear …

Jason Segel was the celebrity host of Saturday Night Live this week and brought along his latest costars for the show.

NBC is currently ramping up the promotional efforts for Sing-Off, their latest attempt at battling American Idol, by highlighting the careers of the shows judges. One of them, Ben Folds, is currently being featured on NBC’s website alongside a song said to be the first new Ben Fold’s Five song in 10 years.
