UTG PHOTOS: Palisades and Famous Last Words (1/29/14)

Under The Gun sent photographer, Kellie Gannon, to check out Palisades and Famous Last Words at the Agora Ballroom in Cleveland on January 29, 2014.

It’s been a few months since I’ve attended a show with the intention of shooting photos.  For the first show in too long, I decided to check out Palisades and Famous Last Words headlining the Agora Ballroom on Wednesday, January 29 (when Peabody’s shut down in Cleveland last fall, the crew took over and renovated the Agora Ballroom). Palisades and Famous Last Words are currently co-headlining the ‘Ride or Die Tour’ sponsored by MerchNOW and …

The Rocket Summer at Peabody's Cleveland March 31, 2013 (photo credit: Kellie Gannon/Under The Gun Review)

Under The Gun sent Head of Photography, Kellie Gannon, to the Rocket Summer Tour on March 31, 2013 in Cleveland.

The Rocket Summer has always been a band that has held a huge, gigantic spot in my heart, mostly for nostalgic reasons. I’ve had the opportunity to see TRS live on several occasions over the years, but never had the opportunity to shoot any of the shows. Exactly ten years after the release of “Calendar Days” and ten years after my ears first heard the sweet, sweet sounds of Bryce Avary’s soulful, happy voice, I had the opportunity to shoot …

Jonny Craig Tour - March 27, 2013 (photo credit: Kellie Gannon/Under The Gun Review)

UTG PHOTOS: Jonny Craig Tour (3/27/13)

Under The Gun sent Head of Photography, Kellie Gannon, to the Jonny Craig Tour on March 27, 2013 in Cleveland.

What does a reformed bad boy do when he cleans up, gets sober, and puts music first in his life? Embarks on a solo tour, that’s what. Jonny Craig hit the road this spring on a solo tour with support from The Seeking, Hail The Sun, and Kurt Travis. I had the opportunity to catch this tour as is made it’s way through the home of Rock and Roll. Jonny Craig stopped by Peabody’s in Cleveland on March 27, the …

Chiodos Announce (NEW) First Show With Craig Owens

This is probably the third or fourth time I have written this phrase, but Chiodos have unveiled plans for their first show back with vocalist Craig Owens. Many thought RiotFest would be their first appearance, then it was Dirtfest (which went on sale just days ago), and now we know (at least for the time being) that the group’s first return to the stage will be August 10 at Peabody’s in Cleveland. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased, here.

Under The Gun sent Head of Photography, Kellie Gannon, to cover Set Your Goals on tour.

Peabody’s in Cleveland was the place to be Friday, April 6th.  Headlining a sold out venue was Set Your Goals, supported by Cartel and Hit The Lights.  Hit The Lights had a huge release this year, “Invicta” that was met with rave reviews.  HTL also played classic songs such as “Body Bag” that had the entire crowd moving.  Cartel took the stage and lead vocalist Will Pugh made sure to sing his heart out as always, playing old and new songs alike, …

UTG Photos: Sleeping With Sirens (3/3/12)

Under The Gun recently sent Head of Photography, Kellie Gannon, to the Sleeping With Sirens “Let’s Tour To This” Tour.

When you arrive at a venue and stand in the crowd awaiting a band, there are a certain amount of expectations and increasing anticipation abuzz in the crowd surrounding you.  As the band takes the stage, your emotions increase and body begins to move with the music.  You soak in each note, every lyric, and get drawn into the performance start to finish.  If it just so happens to be a band you’ve seen before, it is always an incredible …

UTG PHOTOS: Less Than Jake (2/23/12)

Under The Gun sent staff photographer Kellie Gannon to photograph Less Than Jake on tour.

Thursday, February 23rd was bound to be a fun night at Peabody’s in Cleveland, OH.  Less Than Jake is currently on their 20th Anniversary Tour and they certainly had a lot of fun, energy, and antics in store for this sold out show.  Despite the crowd being packed all the way to the doors, multiple circle pits managed to form throughout the evening and the crowd matched the energy of the bands throughout the entire show.

UTG PHOTOS: No Guts No Glory Tour (12/7/11)

Under The Gun recently sent Staff Photographer Kellie Gannon to cover the No Guts No Glory Tour stop in Cleveland!

December is always a hectic month.  Between family time, getting ready for the impending holidays, and the end of the semester (if you’re still in school), this is always a crazy, busy, final month of the year.  Two weeks ago, on December 7th, the No Guts No Glory Tour graced Peabody’s in Cleveland, OH & I’m still reminiscing on what may have been one of the most energetic tours to wrap up the year.  The Amity Affliction, Letlive, …

UTG PHOTOS: iPhonic (12/3/11)

Under The Gun Review recently sent staff photographer Kellie Gannon to see up and coming act iPhonic perform in Cleveland, Ohio. What follows is her review and pictorial of the event. Enjoy!

Attending an iPhonic show is like going to that crazy high school party your parents forbade you from going to… the one that got you grounded for two weeks for attending anyways.  This is basically the same thing, but now partying with these guys is legal (for the most part), encouraged, and expected.  On Saturday, December 3rd I was at Peabody’s again for the iPhonic release show …

UTG PHOTOS: Fearless Friends Tour (11/30/11)

November 30th was another night at Peabody’s in Cleveland, OH and another night of insanely talented bands.  This particular evening was the Fearless Friends Tour with Tonight Alive, Motionless in White, The Word Alive, and Blessthefall.  Needless to say, Blessthefall has been a band I’ve enjoyed since high school, so having the opportunity to finally see them live was something I couldn’t pass up.  The lineup was varied enough to keep you entertained all night, and the bands were wildly engaging.

UTG PHOTOS: OF MICE & MEN (11/22/11)

Peabody’s in Cleveland, OH feels like a second home to me. It’s where I often find myself multiple times a week & this venue features the most diverse and entertaining bands that come through Cleveland. So Tuesday, November 22nd, after getting stuck in horrible traffic and another rainstorm, I found myself venturing to Cleveland for the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour, with Abandon All Ships, For The Fallen Dreams, I See Stars, iwrestledabearonce, and Of Mice & Men. I was fortunate enough to catch Of Mice & Men’s epic set at Vans Warped Tour this past summer, & was …

A day after my mini-road trip to Pittsburgh, I was back in Cleveland and heading to a show that was on the other end of the music spectrum from the show I shot in Pittsburgh the previous day.  So I found myself less than twenty-four hours later, on Sunday, November 20, back at Peabody’s in Cleveland for some heavy hitters for The Discovery Tour, including Fallen Captive, Ruled By Reason, Veil of Maya, and Born of Osiris.  This was going to be one of the heaviest, hardcore shows I’ve attended in awhile, and I was psyched to hear some new …
